if you have a CD in the CD player when you compile in Foxpro 2.6(a), then when the user tries to run the program on their machine, and they have a CD player, it will ask for a CD. The cure then was to recompile the program on your PC again WITHOUT a CD in the player and give them the new program.
Interesting -- I thought that the "error reading drive" had to do with the development stuff being on a drive other than C:\. Let me know if you hear of this happening in vfp6.
