Bob, thanks for this great article. I've been meaning to renew my sub to FoxTalk and seeing this article was just the nudge I needed. Signed up just now.

I've been attracted to the theoretical combination of VFP and MySQL/Linux for some time but knew very little about the practical aspects. Now I really want to move my file-server-based app to this platform.
