I did an event tracking of this and found the grid valid method and several other methods were firing prior to returning to the original place calling the form. There is no code in these prior events. Any ideas?

Not without seeing some code < s >. But are you using a base class grid or is this a grid class? Is there code in the class or somewhere up the class hierarchy?

Please post the code you are using to call the popup form and we'll see if we can help ou debug it.

Also, if you are using an OKL to call the popup form, you might try changing it to be called from the Keypress method of the form after setting the form's KeyPreview property to .T.
