This is dependent on your phone equipment. I'd suggest that you select phone equipment that offers a TAPI-compliant interface, and then use the software provided for the specific hardware you buy - there's no generic solution to this, because CallerID is decoded by a piece of equipment on the phone line, not in your computer; if your modem supports caller ID decoding, then you need to use the software specific to your modem to retrieve the detail.
