Hi Tracy

Whether you mark a thread with the star system or not at present it has no impact on the "Display threads which didnt get a reply in the last 10 days" button

The fact is many of the heavy hitters seem to go straight for this button. So if someone replies to your query with 'What an intresting problem' straightaway your chances of getting an answer have dropped dramatically.

This is because folks tend to answer queries when the mood is on them. They do not want to trawl through lots of text trying to establish if a thread has been solved or not.

>When I post a question and it is answered, I typically mark those responses that are a part of the solution or a help to the solution with one star and complete solutions with three stars still. It works. Also, when searching I check first any threads marked with stars...

>>In addition, as we all know, there a several ways in VFP to solve a problem (just check out the workarounds in the KB to confirm that), so there might well be a use for the ability to mark multiple correct solutions.

>>>1. Thread Owner posts query Thread Status = 'Not Solved'

>>>2. Someone posts a reply Thread Status = 'Possibly Solved'

>>>3. Thread Owner reads answer Thread Status = 'Solved' or 'Not Solved'
>>>
>>>
>>>At step three above the thread owner is deciding if the thread is solved or not solved. This step also replaces the 'Mark this as the Answer' item that exists at present.
>>>
>>>
>>>Now when a Solution Provider feels like answering a few threads all he has to do is click on the unanswered threads button as usual but now the list will contain a view of unsolved threads. (This should be renamed unsolved threads)
