Printer settings are always stored in the FRX file. Backup your FRX, USE myrpt.frx, and delete Tag1 and Tag2 in the first record. This will remove the printer settings. Your problem, even with PREVIEW, may be that your users that are having this trouble don't have rights to the printer.

>Thanks Barbara,
>I suspect hardware as well, but I cannot figure out why this message would be generated when I use PREVIEW. The data is located on the same machine, but the printers are networked. Do you think it's possible that some strange printer setting has been saved in my report (FRX) file? Thanks again for your help.

>>>I have sporadically been getting ERROR 1002 INPUT/OUTPUT ERROR on the statement REPORT FORM myReport ..... It doesn't matter if the command specifies the printer, preview, or a file. It only happens with one report, and it doesn't happen all the time. In fact, I have several users on my application, but only two have had this happen. Any ideas??? Thanks for the help.

>>Marcus, no guarantees, but you might want to check the network connections and the user rights for the people having this problem. VFP is telling you it can't handle some action, and if it's random it may be a hardware problem.
