>I built a 15 column grid which contains a multiple line character field - so the rows are a bit "taller" than normal. When I open the grid, two of the columns - both character data - are top aligned, see below. the others are all middle aligned. when i click on a top aligned value in any row, it becomes middle aligned and then remain that way. I can't seem to find the property in the column..text..alignment that is causing these two to be top aligned. I did try changing the column..alignment property for "3-default" to "0-middle left" but that had no effect.

Couple of subquestions to clarify your situation:

- "character data" - editboxes or textboxes or what?
- Column alignment, did you set it from PEM window or in code? What does it show in the debugger? Is it still 0 there or it reverts to 3?
