I don't know - I mistrust these predictions too, but for other reasons. While I do believe there is a lot of truth in the Bible (we consider it a Holy Book), there are so many different and conflicting interpretations for each verse or group of verses... so that, in the statement "Russia will enter the picture" or something similar - wherever it says that - maybe another country was meant; or another era; or another type of battle (e.g., a spiritual battle - not visible to human eyes).
