>>I'm amazed at how you can support throwing perpetrators of victimless crimes into jail, but you just look teh other way when an international law is broken and thousands and thousands of people are dying because of it.
>Well, tell that to those who blow up innocent people and turn down magnanimous offers.

Nice side step.

>>Back to what we were actually talking about was the results of the six day war, in which you described the consquences as "simple." Number 1 was false, Israel was the aggressor. Number 5 broke the law. Its only simple when you look at one side of the story.
>Hey.. If you pick a fight and lose, don't complain about your bloody nose. *shrug*

Who started the fight? I'll give you a hint, the answer is in the words you replied to.

>I don't belive that these international laws are necessarily valid so I suppose our disagreement is at a more fundamental level, eh? <s>

Quite possibly.

>Really? How do you come to that conclusion? The only difference is that he's older.

Did I believe it? It was hypothetical. BTW, I definetely think he's learned something int he last couple of years.

>If YA is truly in charge then he can stop the suicide bombers. If he is not really in charge then let's find out who is and deal with them. He claims to be in charge on one hand and if so why is he so innefective at stopping the bombings? A) He's not really in charge or b) He is and he wants the bombings to continue.

He's not in charge. No one is, I totally agree to that. See my responses to Mark.

>Not so. All it would take would be for the arabs to be honest. I'd be thrilled if they stopped. You do remember the scenes of them dancing in the streets over 9-11 don't you or are you folks in MN not able to get CNN? <g>

Oh yes, the totally accurate description of all Arab people. I recall that. Phhht. Bottom line, not all Arabs are like that. In fact, the Arab council which is backing Abdullah's plan has been, alledgedly, condemned by Bin Laden. There's alot of people there, and more than one POV, even amongst the Arabs.

>I'm not the one hiding from the facts here I think.

Nope, just behind generaliztions.

>Well, think about the point I'm trying to make regarding human nature Mike.

I understand. People (American's in particaular) are ignorant and arrogant. But unneccesarily and irreversibly violent? When it comes down to it, when the adreneline is pumping, and they're standing on the front lines with rifles ready to go, the majority of people are wishing that it had never come to this.
