I have been using the View Designer to create an alias for a field lastname
as "Last Name" in the Functions and expresions: field of the Fields tab in
the view designer.
It doesn't like:
studemo.lastname AS "Last Name"
studemo.lastname AS 'Last Name'
studemo.lastname AS [Last Name]
It does like
studemo.lastname AS LastName
studemo.lastname AS Last_Name

I want the lable from the field in the dataenvironment to show Last Name
when I drag it to the form
