>>>Whenever a ban is established, its prime effect is to stuff a lot of money into the pockets of the sleazes who know how to evade it.

>>Yep. Just like the drug war. It didnt' do a whole lot except for making alot of street punks very rich.

>>Now, we are teaching are kids that blowing things up is cool, shooting people is cool, but watching people make love is taboo. TV's great, huh?

>Speaking of religion, blowing up and shooting was justifiable, if the victims were of wrong religious denomination, wrong color or generally bothersome. People making love are just simply happy and don't give a damn about any religion... and that was not cool in any church's eyes, therefore it had to be banned, or at least made dirty.

Besides the fact that your bias against religion is obvious, you seem to discount that fact that humping anything is site leads to obvious social breakdowns. Free love isn't free. Neither is irresponsible sex. Illicit sex is not a 'victimless crime'. One way or another, regardless of your attitude on religion or morality, you will be rewarded for your behavior, and if your behavior is socially irresponsible / self-centerd / selfish then there is always the possibility that innocent victims will suffer too. I am one such victim. My dad's desire to pollinate all the flowers in Denver has cost me dearly, and its effects are felt even 60 years later.

The same could be said for adult or child porn, and this is to say nothing about the kind of degradation it demonstrates against its victims.
