Your question implies that any kind of union between two people is ok, regardless of circumstances. Your "consensual" caveat is often converted to rape when the young women finds out she is pregnant but isn't heartless enough to kill her unborn child.
But, to name a few examples of irresponsible sex: rape or any kind, sex with minors or children, unprotected sex with a partner concealing an AIDS infection or an incurable disease. And, if you have engaged in the later behavior you well may be dying. Sex which leads to the birth for which no planning was made or a nurturing and loving environment established in which to raise the child. A drug abusing couple, for example. Or, in a situation I am familiar with, a young women with a history of drug abuse, countless sexual partners, and an unwillingness to take resonsibility for her actions. Now she is pregnant and has nothing to offer her unborn child. Just because a couple can copulate doesn't mean they will make good parents or providers for their offspring. The list goes on.

As a young male, of course, a free martin life style appeals to
your puriant interests, especially if you can enjoy the pleasurable benefits of sex without incuring any of its responsibilities.

For selfish and controlling reasons? What gibberish are you talking about. A society has every right and reason to regulate its individual members for the good of the whole. That's what societies have learned over the centuries. That is partly what has made western culture, until recently, the most advanced in the world.

Either your mother loved you or she had a well developed sense of ethics, for this society, and refused to abort you. Consider yourself lucky. The womb is the most dangereous place in America today.
