Bill,
If you use the SUMMARY option of REPORT FORM you don't have to put any conditional code on the items in the detail band, no Print When, No Remove Line if Blank.
SUMMARY tells VFP to only print Title/Summary, Page Headers/Footers and Group Headers/Footers.
>I had this problem in VFP 5.0a and now in 7.0.
>
>Several reports are printing a blank line 1 point high for each empty detail line. The reports use an external flag to print or not print the items in the detail band (ie: print when pFlag)
>
>I have "Remove Line if Blank" checked on each item in the band.
>The "Summary" option on "Report Form" has no effect on it.
>If I go into the report designer and add a 1 point line in the detail band and align it with the bottom of an item there, then I get a solid black line instead of blank lines (it's height is equal to the # of records not being printed), so I know that I don't have extra space above or below the items in the detail band.
>If I turn on pFlag to print the items in the detail band, as far as I can tell the blank line is no longer there. If I have the test line in, it prints right where it's supposed to be.
