I also come to the conlcusion they work rather well, because they provide transparancy between local and remote data. However in some circumstances where you want to have flexible whereclause (like the &?cWhere clause in a local view) you cannot accomplish this with remote views without altering them (which I generally want to avoid). In these cases (mostly used for lookup services, I'm saldy left with SPT.

I've read this and would like to thank you for your input in this article. Demistifying the myths arround differencees between RVs and SPT on a detailed level was about time.
