FWIW, I don't have a 'Scheduler' OLE reference under NT/2K/XP; I suspect that it's an artifact of Win9x, but haven't got a copy of Win9x to prove it. Task scheduling behaviors under 9x-family and NT-family OSes are different.
The MFC example references an AcxtiveX control separate from the base OS distribution - I'd bet that you need to install a component to use automation.
