Mike,

>How similar in functionality is the .NET version with the VFP version, and if they're similar, how do the number of lines in each compare?

They're very similar in basic architecture...at a very high level, the things you have to do in a VFP desktop/web application are similar to what you need to do in a .NET WindowsForms/ASP.NET app. When it comes to our business object architecture, you'll see a lot of similarities...we've had our Business object classes out in the real world for about five years now, used in all sorts of architectures and I'm happy with their design. They were designed to work in a Windows DNA world, and although Windows DNA is being replaced by .NET Remoting, the principles in each are very much the same...it's just that the technologies for implementing them have changed.

Regarding lines of code, once the dust has settled, Mere Mortals for .NET will have a smaller code base...a number of things I had to create from scratch in VFP are auto-magically done for me in .NET.
