I have noticed the same thing with Access via ODBC. If you do a tableupdate() and requery the same view or another view based on the same table, the update is not seen in requery() unless there is some delay between update and requery. This does not happen with VFP, SQL SERVER or Oracle via ODBC. I found that I had to put at least .5 to 1 second delay when using Access after each tableupdate before requery() to reliably get updated results after tableupdate.

I suspect this has something to do with buffered or queued updates in the Access ODBC driver. I posted a similar thread several months ago and got no responses. Perhaps someone can explain why this happens.

Anyway, this delay in getting correct requery results made Access Database useless for my application.
