>I can get check boxes to work in a grid with no problem. However, no matter what I try, the blasted things keep changing apperance as the cursor passes over them. I have to set Sparse = .F. so that the ckboxes for all records are visible. As the cursor passes over them the box border changes from a thin gray to bold or the other way depending on which way the wind is blowing. The program works great with no problems except an un-professional looking interface on the cash receipts screen where the user selects which invoices to pay.

Did you change the Column.CurrentControl?
