I would like to be able to send mail out with ASP.NET SmtpMail class which uses SMTP server in IIS.

I tried telneting to SMTP port 25, but can not get through. I can reach all other ports I designate as open on my firewall. I my think DSL modem(provided by ISP) may be configured to not accept connections on port 25 which overrides my firewall setting. Since everything works with phone modem, I'm thinking of replacing the DSL modem with a 3rd party modem that I can configure.
