One of the dependency files is not there. You can get a dependency walker at http://support.crystaldecisions.com/communityCS/FilesAndUpdates/depends20.zip.asp. The modules tool may also be helpful. It's at http://support.crystaldecisions.com/communityCS/FilesAndUpdates/modules.zip.asp. Also, RPTCHK32 at http://support.crystaldecisions.com/communityCS/FilesAndUpdates/rptchk32.zip.asp

There should be a runtime.hlp file that shipped with Crystal that tells you what files need to be installed, where they need to be, and which ones need to be registed. I don't remember if you mentioned the OS, but only CR 8.5 is certified for Win2K.
