Hi John,
I spent the last several hours looking into the security issue. I when back and changed the security per the pg_hba.conf file so everything except the vfp2pg database must have a password. After I turned the security back on, I wasn't able to login myself as postgres. That had me worried for awhile, but I finally got that fixed. If you want to check any other security weaknesses feel free. If you let me know where they are I'll try to correct them. At this time I don't have much in the postgres databases except a few test transaction. I use the Linux box mostly as a web server, mail server, and a test progres server, and I backup some stuff accross the network to samba. I have a fourty gig hard drive right next to the sixty gig drive. I use it exclusively to backup, so I'm going to take the linux box down within the next few days and put a mirrow disk image of the 60 gig onto it. In the mean time fell free to experiment with the VFP client. Thanks for all your help.
