...i agree...and if i may add...

depending on your report and the context, the person actually looking
at the report on paper may or may not realize that the data has been
filtered as David recommends (and it may or may not matter, but...)
i have gotten into the habit of including a section at the top of the
report that indicates what selection criteria was used to produce this particular version of the report.
