>If you blame the results of your bad decision on someone else, well, then you might as well go get on welfare because you've just labelled yourself as a victim. Don't be surprised that people do not show up for your pity parties though... <g>
Doug;
I have a few rules of life which I suggest to others – two of which are:
1. Never get sick.
2. Never be a victim.
Now, the way I think you have no choice in either of these matters. So it is with interest to equate your statement that in effect a victim should be on welfare?
I was a victim on April 7, 1994. Folsom, California on Folsom Road – a car hit our car from the rear at 45 mph. You may know the area - it is two lanes each direction with a wide shoulder. We were on the shoulder. There were no other cars on the road at that time. The four of us were brought to U.C. Davis ER. I was in the Trauma Center for 14 hours. The doctor said I was bleeding internally and would die. He called me a "victim" so I decided to “never be a victim again”! By the way our Volvo saved our lives! The Chev that hit us “lost” and so did its driver!
How do I avoid being a victim? I do not want to go on welfare!
By the way I shake on April 7th each year since 1994 - it is not nice to think about!
Tom
