Ya, I saw that news story about Austrialian users not being able to connect online with their banks because XP gave them a Java error msg. The user is already using XP. Gates wants the websites to switch to C# and .NET specific technology. If the website switch to propriatary Windows technology then users will have to switch if they want to use the web services. The claim that any OS will be able to use the runtime drives is bogus because the lMS icenses do not allow OpenSource or GPL code to co-exist on the same box with WinXX technologies.

I hope it backfires and XP users reconsider where they are being led by the nose^^^^^ wallet.
