Hi,

I was asked to make a VFP program that reads an Unisys (mainframe under M.C.P. OS) DMSII database get some information, make some calculations, adjustments, conversions etc, and write it to an Oracle database running under win2k.

Is there a way I can access the Unisys database via ODBC/SPT? If not, there is a better solution than writing a program in the mainframe, extract the DMSII records, export it to a text file, then the VFP program reading it and updating the Oracle database?

This process should run once a day.
