Status Report – April 4, 2002

Still haven’t unpacked – spent all week in a Guerilla.NET VB training class from Developmentor (9am till 9pm, Whew!). As a result, not much progress (except for the learning <g>). I have had an opportunity to meet a bunch of folks in the class – including a lot of the MVPs. That’s been really great.

1. The VB Community intranet is live! It includes links to public threads of interest, auto-sign ups for chats, metrics on how we’re doing, etc.

2. Rob Copeland, our Product Unit Manager, has been going online and talking to various people in the newsgroups. More VB team members have started going online – it’s a great thing to see people discussing threads in the hallways.

I’ve decided not to go to Tech Ed (we have a bunch of people from the team going). Instead, I’ll be at VSLive in Chicago on the 15th and 16th.
