>As I was in Church on Easter Sunday with my family, I asked myself a question. Why did Jesus have to die on the cross? If Jesus was the Son of God, why was it required for Him to fulfill prophecy to prove who He was? What if Jesus was not crucified on the cross and was allowed to live a “normal” life, preaching the Word of God, brotherhood, and curing the sick and lame?

According to the Qur'án, "Every time We send you a prophet, you reject him, killing some, and calling others an impostor" [from memory, and translated from Spanish]. Unfortunately, people who preach the Word of God have often been received in such a fashion.

Hilmar.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
