Any perference on which to use or should I use MS VB and SQL Server?

I have been told that the VB for Win CE is free. If that is true these guys must have a better mouse trap (life is tough selling mouse traps if someone is giving away a mouse trap [especially when the free mouse trap comes from the 500 pound canary in the business]).

Where is the Universal Thread/CompuServe VFOX for Win CE development?
