>Good idea. Problem is my application is strictly VFP which doesn't run natively under Linux. The second problem is Wolfe Pak Accounting owned by Charles Wolfe here in Abilene. He way up in the Church of Christ, an Abilene Chistria University Alumni, and is well connected. He has a pretty well established business here in Abilene, built his own offices, has 30 to 50 people, I wish I knew for sure, working for him, etc. Most of the classified adds for bookkeeper her indicate their looking for someone with Wolfe Pak experience. He kind of a home town success story around her. His App was originally written as an oil and gas joint interest billing/expense distribution package, but has grown to cover about every area. His package is written in turbo pascal. I talked to a client of mine the other day that left Hendrick Hospital; a Southern Baptist affiliated Hospital and a major employer; to go to work for Wolfe and Company. I asked him if Charles' app was still written in pascal.
>He answer no, that it was written in Delphi <g>. I guess his package now has a graphical user interface. Its kind of a blasphmey around here to suggest any accounting package other than his.

More than likely Wolfe is also looking at porting his Delphi 6 version to Linux via Kylix 2.0, so he would make a formitable competitor even in the Linux arena. You may want to give CrossOver Office a look. It is a software layer ($55) that allows most WinXX apps to run on Linux without having a WinXX OS installed. Don't know if VFP will run on top of it, but it may be worth a try. If it works it will be the best $55 you will have ever spent. http://www.codeweavers.com/products/office
