We are looking into the possibilities of using RPC instead of drive mappings to keep our users from having direct access to our data files. We are having problems with users modifying data within the VFP command box and would like to use RPC, is possible, to eliminate this potenitially dangerous problem.

We are not real sure if RPC is what we are looking for, or if it is even capable of such a task.

We have considered using CRYPTOR but would rather use RPC, if possible, to eliminate the extra overhead.
