But what does Wolf accounting cost?? Does he have CPA's on staff. Remember you want the services and not to make money off the accounting software. Will he quickly move to Linux???? or will he be forced to stay with M$ windows because of his client base. You know it takes a large ship three miles to turn - you are a small speed boat and can turn on a dime.
Kylix2 is petty good. I have been using it and enjoy the general programming IDE. The only problem is Linux is moving so fast it's hard to keep up and therefore Borland is always behind.
Maybe you'd be interested in moving your VFP app to Kylix???? I might even help.
Or you could start with one of the perl packages.
All you need it is ten good clients. Just make sure you are always offering custom solutions and services. Every business is looking for the competitive advanage. Moving them from cookie cutter accounting systems to real custom solutions will be a ROI every business man understands.
