I've had some useful discussions of Bob Lee's article on combining VFP with MySQL and Linux using SPT (SQL-pass-through).

For the sake of this discussion, imaginge that my client is actually more comforatble using MS SQL-server and Win 2K. This give me the opportunity to use XMLUpdateGram() along with XMLToCursor() and CursorToXML() to pass the changes back and forth instead of SPT.

I would like to hear from folks on which development path they would be more attracted to.
