Well, if you feel happy with the concept, go for it, but remember its whatever you feel comfortable with.

No, but obviously, this type of useage of the CDE is precisely (though not exclusively) aimed at distributed applications irrespective of the "thickness" of the client (no pun intended <g>).

As an aside, I was discussing this issue with Dave Lehr and he mentioned that he was about to build in Web Connection support in to V7 so, the tools might just get somewhat easier to implement so, hold fire a little and see what transpires.
