also just yesterday I was having the same problems with scroll bars (IN VFP 6 - its ok in 7) not showing it turned out if the control is too big at design time - you dont get the scrolls, you have to start small on design then use runtime program to increase the size, but dont go too far or you will get HARD memory errors (like in the old 1980s) that corrupt the memory of other running programs and other programs that you run after you blow out the max size on the form. even Minesweeper had bad screen images (thinking of bombs) after i sized the form too large. reboot fixed the memory of course. so - start small in design, increase in runtime (getting your scroll bars) and do go more than about 2x the size of the screen or you will get some bad pointers that will overwrite your other programs memory (which can be bad i think)
