Hi,

Been there done that, wait until you reach a file over 100,000 Records in Access. Access will crunch like an empty can. Also in database programs speed does matter. Access is a memory resident program i.e. it loads all the data into the memory once and then process it, where as FoxPro uses the data in smart groups. One of the strong reason is that Microsoft is still using Old Watcom C engine for FoxPro.

Another drawback in Access is that if you are using ASP with Access it will also crash ASP along with the Access driver.
