I have not used Active FoxPro Pages but I understand it is an excellent product:

I have used Web Connection and I like it.

Both have demos that you can download and play with. Assuming you have NT4 or Windows 2000 and PWD or IIS installed, you then have a small test intranet (even if it is all in one machine). Download their samples. Install and play with it. Look at the sample code and you will understand how they work.

Not really. You can create web sites with FoxPro data without using FoxPro.
You can use plain ASP or ASP .Net or Cold Fusion, PHP or some other technology. You can access DBF data through the normal means (ADO, OleDB, ODBC) or you can instantiate a VFP COM object that does the work for you in the background.

The Visual FoxPro solutions offered above are ways to put VFP programs running in a web server environment. The best solution for you depends on your needs.
