Dave, thanks for your reply on my "shifting form" question. Let me tell you some things about my form that may give a hint:
1. Form has a class dropped on it that contains everything except the grid
2. The grid is a separate class dropped right onto the (same) form
3. The grid has code to highlight the active row
4. The grid cells are disabled, except for a command button on each end.
5. Once the grid shifts, it stays shifted until closed.
6. The form shifts only the first time the grid is activated (or after the form is initialized again).

There you go. Any suggestions would help!
