It depends on which version of VFP you are using. It used to be that you could create a report called "UNTITLED" and save it. Once saved, any time you create a new report, that report is used as a template. But somewhere along the way, MS changed the behavior and now each new reports is created with a new temporary name like REPORT1, REPORT2, and so on .. so we inadvertantly lost this "feature".
What I usually do is create the "template" report and save it with some name .. then make it READ ONLY. This way, instead of creating a NEW report, I open this ReadOnly template and then do a SAVE AS and give it a new name. The other approach you can take is to create a new template and save it as a new wizard template. Then, instead of creating a new report, use the Report Wizard to start all your reports.
