Can anyone tell me why i am denied access to my files whenever i use

SET DEFA TO c:\progra~1\devstu~1\vfp\fyp

but, if i use

SET PATH TO (HOME() + 'fyp')

the program runs fine! That is to say, i can access my files properly.

Any help will be appreciated!
