>Sorry guys I have to work with the enemy because I need the money. The bad news is one of my best clients wants a C# program. The good news is I talked him into using Postgres as the DB. The program will only support 10 people so I'm fairly sure just anything I use for hardware will be just fine. But I have a question. I recently heard that BSD runs postgres faster than linux in general and much faster than RH 7.2. Does anyone know if this is true or has had some experience working with BSD and Postgres?

Not Postgres, but BSD is fast. It is a much more mature kernel, and the network OS of choice if you can't afford Solaris. Great firewalling, routing, and MySQL is like a bullet train on BSD. Postgres should be just as fast. Don't know about the M$ thing, though.
