The full instructions that you need are at the MSDN site. Under the MSDN library -> other SDK documentation -> Windows imaging. Regarding your question, it says to not use your own ocx files but to make sure that the Windows imaging is installed on the site where you are going to run the program. If that is installed, you will not have to register anything. I am not sure if it is installed by default on XP but it is on all of the Windows 2000 machines that I have looked at.
