Thanks, I played around with the _screen form and decided it would hold the reference. I created the reference by adding a _screen.addproperty('oformx',''), then:
_screen.oformx = createobject(...)

I think I like your method of adding the form from within the init even better, though. Either way, seems to work like a champ.
