>>It's a long story but I suddenly need to have two very similar versions of the same application and am wondering if anyone has named PRGs something like PayRoll.Shop.Prg and PayRoll.CH.Prg? Am I asking for trouble doing this? My preliminary tests don't show any problems but I thought I should ask.

>I can't guarantee you'll get into trouble, but after having certain problems with spaces and accented characters (the latter caused me problems in variable names, when transferring between FPD and FPW), I decided to use only letters, digits and underscores. IOW, I recommend PayRoll_Shop.prg, and PayRoll_CH.prg.
Additionally, any .prg whose name is not conforming to the rules for variable names can not be called directly as a function.
If there's a something.prg, you can call something(), but while you can
do "prg file (with).a-weird!name.prg"
there's no way you can call it as a function.
