The problem comes from:
1) the coupling between vfp and the hebrew operating system. We complained many times to MS with no real response. Putting it crudely the OS is figuring out "on the fly" the display direction of the text according to context.
2) The native vfp screen handling. This was improved with SP3. You can also try to change the font on the grid to a "faster" font (try Miriam)
