The simple answer is you don't use MSCOMM32 directly to talk to a USB port - MSCOMM32 talks specifically to serial ports, not USB ports. You'll need driver software for the USB interface, either to communicate directly with the USB port, or to virtualize the USB port and make it act as a serial port; IAC, it's an issue outside of VFP.
