>>I'm trying to figure out the best way to use about 9 forms designed in Microsoft Word 6.0 in a VFP program. The forms are in a state of flux and will be changed in the next year several times so I would prefer not to design the forms in the report designer. The data will be in several VFP tables and I would like to merge the data with the forms. I have tried to create a table of the forms, but when I use OLE in the report designer to create the OLE picture from the GENERAL field, I cannot see the actual form so that I can easily place the fields (about 100 per form). I also tried to use OLE to create the OLE picture from a file, but I was not able to use a Word Document only a Bitmap. I have only been able to create a bitmap file of the Word Document using the clipboard and pasting into Paint. This bitmap resolution is very poor. Is there anyone who can give me any ideas. I'm using VFP 3.0. Thanks.

>Kathy, I'd use the Word MailMerge facility. You can read DBFs (you may need to install the DBF drivers in your Word). Design the forms, using MailMerge fields where you want data. Then you can copy a single record or a complete SQL-Select table of records to a FP2.x style DBF and start the MailMerge. I have a client who does all their form letters and labels this way, using Query Manager to give them the data they need.

However, what can you do if the user wants to merge print with
"one to many" data, for example a sales invoices with data
in the invoice header file and detail of items sold in the
invoice detail. It seems it is very difficult for the merge print
features of Word to handle multi file, is it?
