Thanks, Frank. I am sure you are right that the AGAIN clause seems to do strange things to table usage. We also use a "generic" routine to open tables but never use the AGAIN feature to reopen tables and will remove that functionality from the routine. Since the program is under very strict Config. Mgmt. will be a week or two before I know if problem goes away.
