>We had a huge CP fan in our club, maybe because he was originally from Canada? Didn't bother him though, on many a night he'd bring out one of his complete CP passenger trains and run it around the layout.
> I think John was from Monterey. A real pity, his house burned down about 2 weeks after he died, before anyone could go in and save any of his things. What little survives exists through his own generosity in sharing with other modeling friends. Pictures, there are tons of. That talent will nevr be equalled, but George Sellios puts up some mighty stiff competition. There are numerous web sites with pictures of Geroge's modelling skill, unbelievele in the amount of detail and quality.

I worked with a mechanical engineer from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. His father worked for the CP and his next door neighbor (single) was an engineer for the CP. The engineer bought a keg (full size – not a pony keg) of beer and the spout had a slow leak. So he placed a large bowl under the leak to catch the beer and not have a mess all over the floor.

It was time to go to work so the engineer put his dog in the same room as the keg, with food and water to last 2 days, while he made a run. When he got back his dog was staggering and he figured out the dog preferred the beer to the water as the ”beer bowl” was dry and the water bowls were full!
