Thanks so much for the help Daniel. I need to know how to create the table structure programmatically. BUT, there was one more thing I was missing and it took me forever to figure it out. I needed to include the following in my connection string - ;HDR=YES; Eventhough the column headers were there, I guess it didn't know where to look for them without that code fragment in the connection string. Thanks again for the help. Now that I have the basics down, I can create a function to move all my report dataset tables into Excel worksheets. Have a good day.
