Thanks for the help Eric. That was a much better support article than the one I was looking at. The difference that was killing me was the connection string. I needed to include the following in my connection string - ;HDR=YES; The other microsoft support article didn't include that. Eventhough the column headers were there, I guess it didn't know where to look for them without that code fragment in the connection string. Thanks again for the help. Now that I have the basics down, I can create a function to move all my report dataset tables into Excel worksheets. Have a good day.
